2026 WCQ playoffs: Rohr predicts two teams to play for African ticket
Benin Republic head coach, Gernot Rohr, has given his prediction on the two teams that will battle it out to represent Africa at the 2026 World Cup intercontinental playoffs.
According to Rohr, DR Congo will defeat Cameroon in the second semi-finals, after Nigeria see off Gabon.
He, however, admitted that the game between Cameroon and DR Congo will be very tough.
“The winner of the final ticket will be difficult to predict, because the match between Cameroon and DR Congo will not be easy,” Rohr told Nation Sport.
“Perhaps, DR Congo are a bit stronger because they have individually better quality players than Cameroon.
“Again, Cameroon are facing administrative problems that may affect their performance. I think the final could be between Nigeria and DR Congo.”
