2026 WCQ: We lost two – Rohr on suspension of players for Super Eagles clash

Benin Republic head coach Gernot Rohr has shared his thoughts on the suspension of key duo, Yohan Roche , and Sessi D’Almeida for his side’s clash with Nigeria.

Roche and D’Almeida were booked in the Cheetahs 1-0 win over Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium, Kigali on Friday night.

D’Almeida was booked for a rash challenge six minutes from time.

Roche went into the referee’s book for time wasting deep into stoppage time.

“We have lost two players (for the match against Nigeria) as a result of a second yellow card. But all is possible for the three teams (SouthAfrica, Benin and Nigeria),” Rohr said.

Nigeria will also be without Ademola Lookman in the game due to suspension.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matchday 10 encounter will hold at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo next week Tuesday.
