2Baba denies arrest after alleged altercation with Natasha in UK
Music icon Innocent “2Baba” Idibia explained why he failed to perform at a show scheduled at 1 Mark Lane, London, EC3R 7AH, opposite Fenchurch Street Station.
According to a flyer he posted on his Instagram Story on Thursday, the concert, the first stop on his UK tour, was scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. and continue late into the night.
The 50-year-old star is on a UK tour packaged by Nero Experience and Nero Entertainment. Electrifying performances are lined up for London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Bristol, Chelmsford, Bournemouth, Sheffield, and Cardiff.
Despite eager fans trooping to the venue after buying tickets to see him perform, 2Baba did not appear.
Speculation soon spread that the UK Police arrested him following an alleged altercation with his wife, Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly.
The Benue-born singer announced his arrival in the UK on Thursday via Instagram, posting that he travelled with his wife to kick off the highly anticipated tour.
However, in a video posted on his Instagram page on Friday, where he appeared alongside his wife and others, 2Baba denied reports of his arrest.

He clarified that he missed the London show due to a medical emergency, not because of any run-in with the police.
“First of all, I want to appreciate everybody who came out. We had a medical emergency, and it was tough.
“So, to the organisers and everybody that came out there, we will regroup and make something very beautiful happen. And if you don’t know something, please don’t talk about it”, the singer noted.
PREMIUM TIMES reported that 2Baba and his wife held their private traditional wedding in July at Signature House, opposite El-Amin School in Maitama, Abuja.
Since tying the knot, the couple continued to be seen on several occasions, serving relationship goals just as they did before their marriage.
