Primate Ayodele Warns Bandits May Block Lagos-Ibadan Express

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, on Sunday warned that bandits may attempt to block the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in July or August, urging security agencies to remain vigilant.
Ayodele spoke during a Sunday service at the church’s headquarters, and the video of his remarks was later shared on his official TikTok account.
“Ibadan. Lagos-Ibadan Express Road. July/August, I do not know the precise time. Bandits will block the road. Lagos-Ibadan Express Road. They will block the road. So the security agencies should note this,” the cleric said.
The Lagos-Ibadan Expressway is one of Nigeria’s busiest highways, linking Lagos with several South-West states and the northern part of the country.
As of the time of filing this report, neither the Nigeria Police Force nor the Federal Government had issued any official security alert relating to the cleric’s prediction.
Recall Ayodele in a recent statement criticised the Federal Government over the country’s security situation, accusing it of failing in its constitutional responsibility to protect citizens.
His latest claim also comes weeks after suspected bandits abducted dozens of pupils and teachers during coordinated attacks on schools in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, underscoring growing concerns over the spread of kidnapping and banditry into parts of the South-West
