Osimhen returns to Galatasaray training ahead Kasımpaşa clash (photos)
Victor Osimhen has returned to partial team training with Galatasaray as the Nigerian striker steps up his recovery ahead of Friday’s Süper Lig clash against Kasımpaşa.
Osimhen, who has been sidelined with a groin injury, joined his teammates for part of Tuesday’s session at the Kemerburgaz Metin Oktay Facilities under head coach Okan Buruk.
The 27-year-old took part in the opening stages of training before switching to an individual programme prepared by the club’s medical team.
Galatasaray’s session began with a dynamic warm-up before the players moved into 8v2 passing drills in three groups.
The squad also worked on possession exercises before finishing with a small-sided game.
Midfielder Mario Lemina and goalkeeper Günay Güvenç completed the full session with the team.

Defenders Wilfried Singo and Roland Sallai, however, continued their rehabilitation programmes away from the main group.
Osimhen’s return provides a boost for Galatasaray as the Turkish champions prepare to host Kasımpaşa at Rams Park on October 9.
The club is, however, expected to remain cautious over his fitness as he works towards a full return.
Galatasaray will also face Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League four days after the Kasımpaşa fixture.
The team is expected to continue preparations with another training session on Wednesday.
