Oyo 2027: PDP announces Aderoju as Gbolarumi’s running mate

The Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has announced Prince Emmanuel Ademola Aderoju as the party’s deputy governorship candidate.
The party made the announcement in a statement signed by its chairman, Professor Abdulrahman Akinoso.
The statement was made available to DAILY POST on Sunday evening.
Our correspondent reports that Chief Hazeem Gbolarumi is the party’s governorship candidate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Akinoso explained in the statement that Aderoju had been picked as Gbolarumi’s running mate.
He said the deputy governorship candidate was selected based on his antecedents.
According to Akinoso, Aderoju hails from Ofiki in the Oke-Ogun geopolitical zone of the state.
Akinoso said: “Meet the deputy governorship candidate of the PDP in Oyo State. Prince Aderoju Ademola Emmanuel hails from Ofiki in Atisbo Local Government Area of the state. He is aged 67 years this October 10, 2026.
“He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He is also a certified information systems auditor.
“He graduated from the University of Calabar with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree as the best graduating student, winning the Elumelu Legacy Prize for excellence in business administration.”
