Ballon d’Or 2026: I’ve no doubt – Getafe manager Jose Bordalas names award winner

Getafe manager, Jose Bordalas, has named the player to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
Speaking after Getafe’s 3-0 defeat to Barcelona in the LaLiga on Saturday, Bordalas named Spain international Lamine Yamal as the player to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or later this month.
According to him, he doesn’t doubt that Yamal will win the award because he is a fantastic footballer.
“We all know Lamine’s level. He’s fantastic. He is very difficult to stop, even when you take precautions,” Bordalas said, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.
“He is a magnificent young player, and he shows the level he has. He will improve much more and can win the Ballon d’Or. I have no doubt.”
Yamal was shortlisted among the 30 players to compete for the Ballon d’Or and will face stiff competition from Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane and Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe.
