Nigerian entertainer Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has questioned some of the accounts given in the Bible, revealing that he has questions for God.
Speaking about the Christian’s holy book, Charly Boy raised concerns about why God placed the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden and punished humanity after their disobedience.
He revealed that he had read the Bible from cover to cover since childhood, and had spent about six months in a seminary, in hopes to become a priest, before changing his mind.
“Why did you tell them not to eat from the tree before they even knew what good and evil was?. Why punish them for being deceived by the serpent?” he asked.
Charly Boy also claimed that the serpent’s claim that eating the fruit would make Adam and Eve know good and evil appeared to match what happened in the biblical account.
“Why does it seem like the serpent was the one who actually told the truth?. Why make human suffering a thing?,” he further questioned.
