The agency disclosed this in a statement released on Monday, saying the affected establishments had been given repeated warnings, abatement notices and opportunities to comply with its directives before they were sealed on Friday, October 9, 2026.
“The enforcement exercise was carried out in line with the Lagos State Government’s commitment to ensuring strict adherence to environmental laws, safeguarding public health, and promoting a cleaner, healthier, and safer environment for all residents,” the statement read.
The affected establishments are De-Syls Hotel Suites, The New City Sip Lounge & Restaurant, Green Life Lounge, Anchor Leisure Lodge, Ancient African Kitchen, Fameface Packaging, Mamboo Food Lounge Fashion & Salon, and Famoss Hotel.
According to LASEPA, De-Syls Hotel Suites, located on First Avenue, Festac Town, was sealed over noise pollution, while The New City Sip Lounge & Restaurant was shut for noise pollution and non-compliance with the agency’s directives.
The agency said Green Life Lounge, Anchor Leisure Lodge, Fameface Packaging, Mamboo Food Lounge Fashion & Salon, and Famoss Hotel were sealed for non-compliance with its directives.
Ancient African Kitchen, located on Second Avenue, Festac Town, was sealed for obstruction of duty and non-compliance with the agency’s directives.
Speaking on the enforcement operation, the agency’s General Manager, Dr Babatunde Ajayi, reaffirmed LASEPA’s commitment to environmental protection.
Dr Ajayi said, “Environmental compliance is a collective responsibility,” adding that the agency would continue to intensify enforcement against individuals, businesses, religious organisations and corporate bodies whose activities pose risks to the environment and public health.
He urged business owners, facility operators, religious institutions, scrap dealers and residents to adopt environmentally responsible practices, obtain the necessary permits and approvals, and comply with applicable regulations.
