NSIRS staff locked out for lateness as chairman resumes before 9am

Staff of the Nasarawa State Internal Revenue Service (NSIRS) were reportedly locked out of the agency’s headquarters in Lafia on Thursday for arriving late to work.

The Executive Chairman of the Service, Alhaji Ibrahim Adamu Sarki, was said to have arrived at the office a few minutes before 9:00 a.m., while directors and other senior officials were reportedly absent from their offices at the time.

Sources within the Service disclosed that the gate was locked on the Chairman’s instruction as part of efforts to enforce punctuality and discipline among staff.

The action reportedly prevented late-arriving personnel from accessing the premises.
