EPL: 'I don't care' – Ferdinand tells Carrick to always start Man Utd star
Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has urged manager Michael Carrick to continue starting Leny Yoro.
Ferdinand made the call while speaking on his YouTube channel, Rio Presents, after Carrick’s side played a 1-1 draw with Leeds United in the Premier League at the weekend.
The former England international praised Yoro’s defensive performance, particularly his work at the back post in the first half.
“Yoro, in the first half, defending the back post was top drawer.
“I don’t care who gets back fit now, I think he needs to stay in the [starting] team, prove his worth,” Ferdinand said.
Yoro, who played as a right-back against Leeds, joined Manchester United from French Ligue 1 side Lille in 2024 on a five-year contract.
