L.A.X, Ella celebrate Ijaw heritage as wedding journey reaches new milestone

Nigerian singer Damilola Abdul Rasak Afolabi, popularly known as L.A.X and his wife, Ella, have brought a touch of Ijaw cultural elegance to their wedding celebrations, with the couple showcasing traditional looks that celebrate their heritage.

The young couple, showcased the Ijaw-themed in an Instagram post, revealing that they are getting ready for their big celebration on November 1st

The couple’s journey began publicly in January 2026 when the singer proposed to Ella in a romantic outdoor setting decorated with flowers and their initials, D and E. The engagement was followed by their civil wedding on September 16, 2026, in Malta.

For the Malta ceremony, held in Naxxar, the couple opted for an intimate celebration attended by family and close friends. They exchanged vows before making a lively entrance into their reception, dancing as guests cheered them on.

With their Ijaw-inspired traditional looks offering another glimpse into their cultural celebrations, L.A.X and Ella have turned their wedding journey into a year-long celebration of love, family and heritage.
