Odumodublvck claims credit for Declan Rice’s Nigerian fanbase

Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck has claimed that his 2o23 hit song is the reason for Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice’s popularity among Nigerians.

The rapper, during an interview, spoke about song referencing the England international, claiming that the footballer was largely unknown to Nigerians until he mentioned him in his music.

Odumodublvck stressed his claim, adding that his song also helped the footballer’s high-profile move to the Premier League club.

“I introduced Declan Rice to Nigerians. Before I sang about him, nobody knew about him. It was after I sang about him that he blew up, and Arsenal discovered and signed him for over 100 million,” he claimed.

Rice joined Arsenal from West Ham United in July 2023 in a deal reportedly worth an initial £100 million, with a further £5 million in potential add-ons.
