The actor, in a viral video, analysed relationships and the expectations the society has for women, stating that loyalty and fidelity should not be a one-way street.
Yemi also questioned the belief that women are ”naturally monogamous” and that men are ”naturally polygamous”, stating that women have to deal with hormonal imbalances and sexual temptations.
”Why do we assume that women are naturally monogamous, but men need special discipline to remain faithful? who tell you say woman no dey experience temptation?,” he questioned.
His statement stirred up the conversation around loyalty and cultural beliefs, with some arguing that certain religions and culture allows men to be polygamous but deprives women of the same liberty.
