CP Samuel Etaifo Erale, the commissioner of Delta state police, has clarified the status of a suspect Ezekiel Pius, who was arrested by operatives over an alleged defilement of a fifteen-year-old girl.
The State Police boss, in a statement made available to Daily Post’s correspondent, noted that the matter has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, for proper investigation.
He also stressed that prior to the claims, the suspect is not a police officer.
“The suspect is not a police officer. The case has been transferred to SCID for proper investigation,” he said.
It would be recalled that operatives from Effurun Area Command in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State have arrested the suspect, a fake Mobile Policeman on guard duty at a private school near Regal Clinic along Jakpa Road in Effurun.
