APC condemns alleged destruction of campaign materials in Kebbi
The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kebbi State has condemned the alleged destruction of its campaign signboard and posters in Argungu and Birnin Kebbi.
The party’s State Publicity Secretary, Isah Abubakar Assalafi, in a statement, alleged that some supporters of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, were responsible for the vandalism.
Assalafi described the incidents as unfortunate and urged political parties and their supporters to respect one another’s right to conduct lawful political activities.
He called on APC supporters not to retaliate over the alleged destruction but to remain calm and allow the appropriate authorities to investigate the matter.
The APC also urged security agencies to investigate the incidents and take appropriate action against anyone found responsible.
Assalafi appealed to the ADC leadership to caution its supporters and ensure that political activities in the state are conducted peacefully and with mutual respect.
He reaffirmed APC’s commitment to peaceful political activities and respect for the rights of other political parties in Kebbi State.
