SPINNERS Season 2 Debuts in 45 African Countries, Returns to Africa Magic Showcase

The second season of award-winning African drama series SPINNERS has premiered, with CANAL+ and STUDIOCANAL securing its international distribution across more than 45 countries in Africa and Europe.

The eight-part season, which premiered on October 25, is available to Nigerian viewers on Africa Magic Showcase. The series is a co-production of MultiChoice and CANAL+, with STUDIOCANAL handling international distribution.

Season 2 follows Ethan (Cantona James) and his crew, the Underdogs, as they leave Cape Town for Johannesburg in search of new opportunities. Their attempt to establish themselves in the city’s competitive car-spinning scene is complicated by emerging rivalries, new relationships and an ambush connected to Ethan’s former gang.

The series centres on car spinning, a motorsport culture involving controlled spins, drifts and precision driving manoeuvres. Its storyline also explores themes of friendship, ambition, loyalty and the challenges associated with starting over.

The new season introduces the Maseko family, whose arrival brings additional tensions to the story. Luyanda Zwane, known for her role in Sibongile and the Dlaminis, plays Amahle Maseko, while Aphiwe Mkefe portrays her older brother, Sayi, who becomes a rival to Ethan. Siyamthanda Bangani plays Gatsha, Sayi’s close associate.
