The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2027 general election in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has alleged that some hoodlums sponsored by political opponents are planning to attack his supporters.
Alli alleged that the hoodlums were being sponsored by Governor Seyi Makinde and Hon. Abimbola Adekanmbi.
He made the allegation in a statement signed by the Director of his campaign organisation, Bisi Oladele, and made available to DAILY POST on Sunday night.
Makinde is the incumbent governor of Oyo State, whose second term is expected to end in May 2027.
Alli alleged that Makinde and Adekanmbi had sponsored some hoodlums to attack his supporters.
According to the statement, members of the Park Management System are planning to attack members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, who are loyal to him.
The APC candidate further alleged that the hoodlums were also planning to destroy his campaign materials.
He called on the Commissioner of Police to intervene and prevent any form of violence before, during and after the 2027 governorship election in the state.
