My 6 Months Salary In The UK Was More Than The Total Of My 7 Years Salary In Nigeria

Medical doctor Tolu Binutu has disclosed that his six-month salary after relocating to the United Kingdom exceeded the total amount he earned in seven years of working in Nigeria.

He disclosed this on Friday while encouraging a Nigerian lawyer, who expressed sadness for being unable to afford rent to secure her own place.  

“After Medical school, i moved back in with my parents. Lived with them for 7 more years until I was almost 30 years. Didn’t buy a Car.

“Worked several jobs, sometimes 2 jobs at the same time. Saved enough to write exams & move to the UK. 6 months salary in the UK was more than all my 7 years salary in Nigeria COMBINED.

“It’s not too late for you. Not by a mile,” he wrote.
