Troops neutralize bandits, recover motorcycles in Kankara–Yantumaki operation

Troops of the Joint Task Force (JTF) have neutralized several bandits who blocked the Kankara–Yantumaki road in Katsina State and robbed commuters on Friday.

According to a post shared on X by security analyst, Bakatsine on Saturday, the operatives engaged the armed bandits in a gun battle, leading to their elimination. 

The troops also recovered stolen motorcycles and returned them to their rightful owners.

“This afternoon, JTF operatives engaged bandits who blocked the Kankara–Yantumaki way and robbed commuters. They neutralized them, recovered stolen motorcycles and returned them to their owners,” Bakatsine wrote.
