2026 WCQ: Adams reveals what he’ll do if given chance to play against Lesotho, Benin


Sevilla striker, Akor Adams, has said that he would personally give his best for the Super Eagles team if called upon to play againt Lesotho, Benin Republic.

The striker said he does not need time to break into the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Adams said this while reacting to his maiden call-up to the national team.

Akor, a former Lillestrom striker was called up by coach Eric Chelle for the games Lesotho and Benin Republic six years after represented the Flying Eagles at the 2019 Fifa U20 World Cup.

Speaking in a video shared on X by the Super Eagles, Akor downplayed the notion of needing time to adapt.

“I don’t think there is a breaking in, personally. I just have to give what I can for the team. In general, whoever’s playing, we give support.

“And if you’re called upon by the coach, you do your best.

“There are a couple of guys that I’m in touch with, but I’m looking forward to making more relationships, and also better friendships.”

Last weekend, the 25-year-old scored in consecutive La Liga matches, including a notable strike against Barcelona.
