Gaza: Top Hamas leader Al Hayya announces end of conflict with Israel

Khalil Al Hayya, top Hamas’ chief negotiator, has disclosed that the Palestinian military group has received guarantees from the United States of America and international mediators confirming that its war with Israel in Gaza has ended permanently.

Al Hayya made this known in a televised speech on Thursday.

“Today, we announce that an agreement has been reached to end the war,” Al Hayya said.

Al Hayya also revealed that the Palestinians who were sentenced to life in prison will be released as part of the deal.

According to him, those who were arrested after October 7 will also be released.

Recall that both Hamas and Israel have been fighting in Gaza for the last two years.

US President Donald Trump had been trying to end the war in Gaza that has upended the region.
