2026 WCQ: Lookman suspended for Super Eagles, Benin Republic showdown

Ademola Lookman will miss Tuesday’s final 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Benin Republic due to suspension.

The Atalanta winger got his second booking of the qualifying series against the Crocodiles of Lesotho today.

Lookman was booked in the 64th minute by Chadian referee Alhadi Allaou Mahamat for retaliation.

The 27-year-old received his first booking in the qualifiers against South Africa last month.

He is likely to be replaced by Samuel Chukwueze in the starting line-up against Benin Republic.

Chukwueze was a second-half substitute against Lesotho today.
