The Catalan club confirmed in a separate statement on Monday, that two of their players, Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres, have suffered injury blows ahead of the Girona game.
Olmo suffered a calf injury on his left leg and will reportedly be out of action for around three weeks.
The Spaniard is likely to miss the El Clásico between Barcelona and Real Madrid on October 26.
Torres, on his part, suffered muscle soreness in his left hamstring without an associated injury.
The forward is now ruled out of action and will follow a specific course of treatment.
It’s yet to be seen if both players will recover on time to play for Barcelona against Girona in the next couple of days.
