Governor Sule appoints Barau Barnabas as substantive provost of COE Akwanga

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has approved the appointment of Dr. Barau Nuhu Barnabas as the substantive Provost of the College of Education (COE), Akwanga.

The announcement was made on Tuesday in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Labaran Shuaibu Magaji (SAN).

According to the statement, the appointment followed the recommendation of the institution’s Governing Council, chaired by Bulus Moyi, after a thorough selection process and interview of shortlisted candidates.

Dr. Barau emerged as the preferred choice from among six candidates interviewed by the Council, marking the conclusion of a transparent and merit-based recruitment exercise.

His appointment takes immediate effect, as the state government reaffirms its commitment to strengthening tertiary education and promoting academic excellence across its institutions.
