Man Recounts How A Police Officer Saved Him And Others After Their Vehicle Broke Down On 3rd Mainland Bridge
A police officer is earning widespread praise on social media after an X user recounted how he rescued them from an attack by thugs on Lagos’ popular Third Mainland Bridge.
In a series of posts shared on his handle, the X user mentioned that a vehicle himself and others were riding in broke down on the bridge and immediately after, about six to nine thugs surrounded them, demanding for money or they would be attacked.
He mentioned that a police officer who was riding in his private car spotted them and came to their rescue. He said the officer’s presence made the thugs who had grew in number reduce their anger but they still made their financial demands.
He stated that the officer upon seeing how things were going, pulled him aside and advised that he give the thugs money as the spot where the car broke down was quite dangerous.
He said that singular advice saved the situation. He mentioned that the officer later accompanied them to the mechanic where their car was also fixed.
He said he is eternally grateful for the officer who was more like an angel sent to help him.
