Even If I’m FCT Minister For 500 Years, I Cannot Solve All Your Problems – Wike To Residents
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, stated on Friday that even if he served as minister for 500 years, he would still be unable to solve all the challenges facing the FCT.
Wike, however, assured residents that his administration would do the best it can within its time frame and resources.
He spoke at the flag-off of the construction of Collector Road C01 in Institution and Research District linking the Body of Benchers to Nile University Area, including a bridge.
According to Wike: “As a minister, I may be allowed to stay here for 500 years but problems will continue to come up. I cannot solve all the problems.
“But within what we can do, within the time frame and resources available, we’ll do the best to give our people what they deserve.
“And I want to commend the body of Benchers for the support they have always given to us, for the collaboration they’ve always had with us. And I can assure you that people may fail because I’m a life Bencher, It’s not correct.
Noting that the road is for the benefit of all users, Wike urged residents to support the government in ensuring that the right things are done in the capital city.
“What is worth doing is worth doing well, so everybody should support the government to make sure the right things are done and positive results are achieved,” he added.
