EPL: Michael Owen identifies Arsenal’s strongest title challengers after Liverpool’s defeat

Former England striker, Michael Owen, has claimed that Liverpool remain Arsenal’s biggest challengers for the Premier League title.

Owen was speaking on Premier League Productions following the Reds’ 2-1 loss to Manchester United on Sunday.

Bryan Mbeumo gave United the lead in the second minute before Cody Gakpo equalised for the hosts.
But there was time for Harry Maguire to head in the winner, as Liverpool suffered a fourth successive defeat.

The result leaves them four points behind leaders Arsenal.
But Owen said: “When Arsenal players watch next week’s Premier League games, they will be hoping that Liverpool lose. They are the biggest challengers.”
