UCL: Atletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone makes three demands after Arsenal’s 4-0 win
Atletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone, has made three demands after his side’s UEFA Champions League 4-0 defeat to Arsenal on Tuesday.
Simeone watched as goals from Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli and Viktor Gyokeres ensured the Gunners won at the Emirates Stadium.
Speaking after the game, the 55-year-old Argentine called on Atletico to put the loss behind them, focus on training on the things that went right against Arsenal and to improve on their performances going forward.
“It is a learning curve. I thought we competed really well to begin with,” Simeone told Amazon Prime.
“From 60 minutes, they were the better team and deserved to win.
“We have to put this behind us now, and we need to focus on training on the things that went right, and we need to make improvements as well.”
Atletico Madrid will now face Real Betis in the LaLiga in their next match on October 27.
