Anambra guber: BVAS slow in capturing voters in Nnwei North
Voting in many polling units in Nnewi North appears to be slow after many of the BVAS machines are slow in capturing voters.
In Okpunegbu hall Umudim 1 Polling unit: 018 and 021, in Nnewi North, many of the polling units are disorganised, with many people complaining about the process.
According to election monitors from the Centre for Journalism and Innovation (CJID), some party agent were seen trying to help the INEC officials to rectify the situation.
There are also reports of vote-buying in the two polling units by agents and party officials of the leading parties.
Also, party agents were seen writing the names of their members and their card numbers, so they can buy their votes.
Some voters are also threatening to leave if they are not paid.
“Their BVAS appear to be slow in capturing there are many people here but the truth is many of them are not there to vote they want money”, a party agent said.
