Gunmen kill two, abduct one in Nasarawa community

The Nasarawa state Police command has confirmed that two persons were killed and one abducted following a gunmen attack on Sarkin Noma community in Keana Local Government Area of the state.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Ramhan Nansel, who disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, said the attack occurred on Friday night and also left several residents injured.

“Information was received that unknown gunmen invaded Sarkin Noma Village, where they abducted one person and shot two others dead. Reacting to the unsavoury development, the Commissioner of Police deployed operatives attached to the Kadarko Division to the area. They combed the bush and arrested one Ero Yaro, 45 years old, of Sarkin Noma Village, in connection with the crime,” Nansel said.

He assured investigation into the incident is ongoing, while normalcy has been restored to the area.
