I will mention names of those plotting to tarnish Sen Jibrin’s image – Agundi

The Director-General of the National Productivity Centre, Dr. Baffa Babba Dan Agundi, has distanced himself from any plan to tarnish the image of the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin.

In a statement issued on Sunday by his media aide, Abubakar Balarabe Kofar Naisa, Dan Agundi said some individuals approached him to join a campaign against Senator Barau after the Senate suspended the screening of Engineer Abdullahi Garba Ramat, nominated as Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).

He said he refused to take part, describing the plan as a deliberate attempt to damage the senator’s reputation.

Dan Agundi warned those behind the move to stop or risk being publicly exposed.

He also emphasized that he does not engage in insults or personal attacks, even in politics, adding that Senator Barau is a respectable leader who should not be falsely accused.

”Baffa Babba Dan Agundi swore to mention the names of those who came to him to join the campaign of columny against Senator Barau Jibrin if they continue to discredit the ranking Senator,” the statement reads.

He clarified that, from the information available to him, Senator Barau was not responsible for the delay in Ramat’s screening.
