ACCI, afreximbank, autodex lead push for agro-mechanisation at FARMFATECH 2025
The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), in collaboration with Afreximbank and Autodex Nigeria Limited, has announced the 2nd Edition of the Farm, Food and Allied Technology (FARMFATECH) Expo 2025, a platform to drive agricultural innovation, mechanisation, and food security in Nigeria.
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, Emeka Obegolu, the Chamber’s President who was represented by Agabaidu Chukwuemeka Jideani, Director General of ACCI, said the Expo would build on the success of its inaugural edition and further strengthen collaboration between Nigeria, China, and other strategic global partners in advancing sustainable agricultural practices.
Scheduled to hold at the Velodrome, National Stadium, Abuja, he said the three-day event will host over 500 exhibitors, 76 participating countries, and an estimated 500,000 visitors.

According to Jideani, FARMFATECH 2025 will feature cutting-edge technologies in agro-mechanisation, food processing, and value chain innovation, creating opportunities for investment, knowledge exchange, and partnership across the agricultural ecosystem.
“As a Chamber, our passion for the growth and advancement of Nigeria’s agricultural sector is at the heart of this Expo. We believe FARMFATECH will enhance productivity, strengthen food security, and create employment opportunities across the value chain,” Jideani said.
He added that the ACCI, through its Agriculture Trade Group and four Centres, the Business, Entrepreneurship, Skills and Technology (BEST) Centre, Abuja Trade Centre (ATC), Nigerian Chamber of Commerce Dispute Resolution Centre (NCC-DRC), and National Policy Advocacy Centre (NPAC) remains committed to promoting innovation, advocacy, and capacity building to support economic diversification and industrial growth.
“The agricultural sector remains a vital pillar of Nigeria’s economy and a major contributor to GDP. Through our Agriculture Trade Group, we continue to champion the interests of farmers, agribusinesses, and investors by promoting policies, technologies, and partnerships that sustain productivity and resilience,” he added

In his remarks, Tony Afam Ifeakandu, Managing Director of Autodex Nigeria Limited, emphasised the company’s commitment to empowering farmers through innovative mechanisation and mobility solutions.
“We are advancing a future where contract farming, improved seed systems, and good agricultural practices are supported by world-class technology. Our mission is simple: equip farmers to produce more, move faster, and earn better, because a food-secure Nigeria must be powered by innovation,” he said
He noted that the company is investing in hybrid combustion and electric vehicles, tricycles, motorbikes, and utility vehicles, as well as battery-swap infrastructure to enhance field-to-market efficiency and reduce logistics costs for farmers.
