Adamawa varsity produces 42 first-class graduates; 9,000 others

The Adamawa State University, ADSU, Mubi, has produced a total of 9,225 graduates, 42 of them with first-class degrees.

Of the 9,225 graduating students; 8,871 are in undergraduate category, 339 postgraduates and 15 in diploma category.

They will all be formally convoked Saturday, November 1, 2025.

Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Augustine Clement, disclosed this Friday in a pre-convocation press briefing at the university main campus in Mubi, explaining that the Saturday convocation ceremony is a combination of the 15th, 16th and 17th editions of the university.

The vice Chancellor said while the 42 first-class graduands lead the pack; 1,734 others will bag second class upper; 5,252 second class lower; and 1,842 in third class category.

He added that 22 of the graduating students will be awarded PhDs while 100 will earn Master’s degrees.

The VC announced to the newsmen also that the National Universities Commission, NUC, has granted approval to ADSU to commence the mounting of seven new programs, including Cyber Security and Information Systems.

The other five newly approved programs are History Education, English Education, Public Relations, Journalism & Media Studies, and Educational Management.
