APC only party that gives room for everybody to participate – National Chairman to decampees
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has urged new members to actively participate in all party activities, assuring them of equal rights and opportunities within the party.
He stated this while speaking after receiving 66,400 decampees who joined the ruling APC from opposition parties in the state during a ceremony held at the Dutse Mini Stadium.
Yilwatda said the mass defection of people from opposition parties in the state and across the country shows that citizens are satisfied with the APC-led administration.
According to him, “By what we have seen here, we are confident that Jigawa is for the APC, and people are highly satisfied with the kind of developmental projects going on in the areas of education, health, roads, water, and agriculture, among others.”
“Therefore, feel free and feel at home. The APC is your home. You are all welcome to the biggest party in Africa. The APC is the only party that has room for everybody to participate,” he added.
Earlier, the Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, said the decampees joined the ruling APC from the main opposition parties, including the PDP, NNPP, and ADC.
Presenting the comprehensive list of the decampees to the APC National Chairman, Governor Namadi said the document contained the names, villages, wards, and local governments of each of the new members.
He pledged to continue carrying all party members along to ensure the progress and unity of the party. Namadi also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his exemplary leadership.
