Benue’s future lies in unity, collective action — Gov Alia
Governor Hyacinth Alia has said that the future of Benue State lies in unity and the collective efforts of all.
The governor said this at an expanded caucus meeting of the All Progressives Congress in Makurdi, the state capital.
The meeting was said to have witnessed some members defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, African Democratic Congress, ADC, and Labour Party, LP, in the state.
According to the governor, the presence of key political figures from the PDP, ADC and LP at the meeting was a testament to what his administration was doing.
He assured members of the party and supporters alike of his administration’s commitment to transparent governance, saying that this was evident in the timely payment of salaries by his government, among other policies of his administration.
“This overwhelming support from these key stakeholders in the different opposition political parties in the state and existing members of the APC indicates the positive contributions we are making.
“As we fight for the masses, we remain resolute in our pursuit of peace and stability in Benue,” he said.
