Christian genocide: We can’t continue like this – Inibehe reacts as US military prepares for action

Human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, has welcomed move by President Donald Trump’s administration to take action against alleged Christian massacre in Nigeria.

DAILY POST reports that Trump on Saturday threatened that if the Nigerian government fails to protect Christians, the US military will not hesitate to take action.

Subsequently, the United States Defense Secretary, Pete Hegseth, said the Department of War is preparing for action in Nigeria if the Christians are further attacked.

Reacting, Inibehe in a post on X, said “the killings have gone on for too long”, stating that Nigerians cannot continue with the deteriorating security crisis.

He said, “If this is what it will take for the Nigerian government to wake up to its primary responsibility, so be it.

“The idea that our Armed Forces is so weak and ineffective is unacceptable to me.

“Communities have been accusing Nigeria’s military of shielding the terrorists. We have seen too many videos of communities and victims openly confronting the military for allegedly working with insurgents.

“We have not seen any serious effort to get to the root of these allegations.

“We cannot continue like this. Enough is Enough”.
