Cristiano Ronaldo closes in on record 1,000-goal milestone
Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is not showing any signs of slowing down as he moves within 50 goals of a record 1,000-goal milestone, a feat no player in the modern era has ever achieved.
Remarkably, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner scored for Al Nassr in their 2-0 victory over Al Hazem, taking his tally to an incredible 950 career goals across all competitions.

Ronaldo took to Instagram to celebrate the milestone.
“Happy to help the team win and to hit 950 goals! Always hungry for more!”
With six goals in as many appearances, Ronaldo has helped Al Nassr maintain a flawless start to the 2025/26 Saudi Pro League season, sitting top of the table on 18 points, three clear of Al-Taawoun and eight ahead of defending champions Al-Ittihad.
Despite his advancing age, Ronaldo insists his hunger for success remains undiminished. Speaking earlier this month after receiving the inaugural Prestige Award at the Portugal Football Globe, he reiterated his ambition to reach 1,000 career goals, even if his family urges him to stop.
“People, especially my family, say, ‘It’s time for you to stop. You’ve done everything. Why do you want to score a thousand goals?’ But I don’t think so. I think I’m still producing good things, I’m helping my club and the national team, and why not keep going?” Ronaldo said, as reported by Goal.com.
“I know I don’t have many more years, but I try to enjoy the few I have to the fullest… I live day by day, training session by training session, game by game.”
With 950 goals and counting, the world watches as Cristiano Ronaldo chases one of football’s most extraordinary milestones, the race to 1,000 goals.
