Embarrassing To Watch – Nigerian Actor, Kunle Remi Under Fire For Showing Off Wife’s Underwear At Movie Premiere (Video)
Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has come under attack after bringing his wife Tiwi’s underwear to the premiere of Daniel Etim-Effiong’s latest movie, The Herd, at IMAX Lekki.
The premiere attracted many of Nigeria’s top actors, but Kunle’s unusual act quickly drew attention.
The actor explained that since his wife could not attend the event, he decided to carry a personal item of hers as a symbolic gesture.
He wrote: “Your wife could not be present physically, so she gave you a piece of herself. Randomly remembering how I started my morning.”
Videos shared online showed him displaying the item on the red carpet and including it in clips of his day, from breakfast to other moments.

Many social media users reacted negatively to the gesture, calling it inappropriate and unsettling.
Read comments below:
Tunde Adeyemi: “Wow… I can’t believe this actually happened. I follow Kunle on Instagram, and I’ve seen him share moments with his wife, but this is taking it way too far. It makes you question what he thinks is acceptable in front of other people.”
Chinwe Okoro: “I honestly don’t understand why Kunle thought this was funny or cute. Bringing his wife’s underwear to a red carpet event is really uncomfortable to watch. There are some boundaries that just shouldn’t be crossed in public, no matter how playful you think you’re being.”
Aisha Bello: “This is disturbing on so many levels. A red carpet is supposed to be about fashion, movies, and glamour, not carrying someone’s intimate items around for attention. I feel bad for Tiwi if this is how people are seeing her.”
Funke Olatunji: “I don’t know if he thought this would be funny or romantic, but honestly, it’s just embarrassing. Seeing someone’s underwear on the red carpet is not a memory I want to have from a movie premiere.”
Emeka Nnaji: “I used to admire Kunle for being open with his fans, but this really crosses a line. Publicly displaying something that personal makes the whole gesture feel wrong. Some things are meant to be private, and this was definitely one of them.”
Segun Alabi: “This is exactly why social media reacts so fast. People are going to talk about this for weeks. There are better ways to show love and connection with your spouse than bringing personal items to a public event.”
Nkechi Umeh: “Kunle Remi has made some bold moves online before, but this one feels really unnecessary. I get wanting to include your partner when they can’t attend, but this is just… too much. It’s uncomfortable for everyone watching.”
