EPL: Amorim speaks on two Man Utd duo leaving club in January
Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim has dismissed suggestions that the likes of Kobbie Mainoo and Joshua Zirkzee will leave Old Trafford in the January transfer window.
Mainoo and Zirkzee are struggling for regular playing game time under Amorim so far this season.
Mainoo has not started a game in the Premier League this season, while Zirkzee has made just three substitute appearances in the Premier League.
Asked if he understands the frustrations of both players as they could seek to leave Man United in January in search of regular playing game-time, Amorim said at his pre-match interview ahead of Man United’s Premier League tie with Liverpool on Sunday evening (via Metro UK): “That is normal, and I also know that in our club, everything is a lot of noise, and you have to have news, and players are not playing. They want to play.
“Like you said, there is a World Cup. There are agents who listen to the players talking all the time.
“So, I understand that, but they are our players, and we need everyone to have a good season.”
