EPL: It hurts – Ronaldo laments Manchester United’s decline

Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that it pains him to see Manchester United in their current state.

Ronaldo made the remark during a recent interview with Piers Morgan Uncensored.

The Portuguese forward had two spells at Manchester United, during which he won several trophies, including the UEFA Champions League and the Premier League.

However, his second stint did not end on good terms, as his contract was terminated by mutual consent in 2022. He subsequently joined Al-Nassr in 2023 after parting ways with the Red Devils.

“It hurts me to see Manchester United like this. I won the Champions League there, I won the Ballon d’Or there,” Ronaldo said. “I played there for many years. I won 14 titles there. Manchester United is in my heart, I love that football club.”

Manchester United have failed to win the Premier League for more than a decade and currently sit in eighth position on the league table this season.
