EPL: Liverpool now 4 points behind leaders Arsenal after 2-1 defeat to Man Utd
Liverpool are now four points behind leaders Arsenal, following a 2-1 defeat to rivals Manchester United on Sunday.
The Premier League champions came into the game on the back of three consecutive losses.
The Reds were looking to bounce back at Anfield, but it was United who got the first goal of the match.
As early as the first minute, Amad Diallo sent Bryan Mbeumo through and he made it 1-0.
Liverpool fought back after the break, with Cody Gakpo tapping home Federico Chiesa’s pass.
But there was still time for Harry Maguire to head home the winner for Ruben Amorim’s team.
The win takes United up to ninth place with 13 points, while Liverpool remain fourth with 15 points.
