EPL: Redknapp names irreplaceable Arsenal star after 1-0 win at Fulham

Former Liverpool star, Jamie Redknapp, has named Bukayo Saka as the ‘irreplaceable’ player at Arsenal

According to him, the England international has proven that the club cannot do without him at this point saying the Gunners must try to keep him fit.

Arsenal recorded a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday to remain top of the table.

Leandro Trossard’s 58th minute effort was all the Gunners needed to secure the win at Craven Cottage.

Fulham have often proved a bogey team for Arsenal in recent years, with the north London side recording just one win from their last four meetings against them prior to Saturday.

Redknapp feels Saka was the most outstanding player for the Gunners.

He said on Sky Sports, “Don’t get me wrong, of course, they’ve got players who can play on that side but he is the man.

“And that’s what I’m talking about when I talk about being a leader today.

“He’s not a Tony Adams as a captain but he took the game by the scruff of the neck today when the team was struggling and they didn’t quite have that flow and he grew into the game.

“As the game went on he just started to win his individual battle. He was fabulous today.

“I feel that if they can keep him fit then that’s going to be a massive key for them. Obviously, there are other [important] players; Saliba, Gabriel.

“But Saka just feels irreplaceable.”
