EPL table: Arsenal opens four-point lead at top as Aston Villa stuns Man City

Arsenal has opened a four-point gap at the top of the Premier League table, thanks to a narrow 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The Gunners were already three points clear ahead of the game, after Liverpool lost 3-2 at Brentford yesterday.

And although Mikel Arteta’s men dominated most of the first half, they failed to find the back of the net.

The only goal of the match, however, came from former Palace playmaker, Eberechi Eze, just before the break.

Eze grabbed his first league goal for Arsenal with an acrobatic volley from just inside the box.

The result sees Arsenal hit 22 points, four more than second-placed Bournemouth who claimed a 2-0 win at home against Nottingham Forest.
