EPL: They’re threat – Slot pinpoints Chelsea players who caused Liverpool problems

Liverpool manager, Arne Slot has suggested that Chelsea wingers, Pedro Neto and Alejandro Garnacho caused their team problems during both sides’ Premier League tie on Saturday.

According to Slot, the likes of Neto and Garnacho were a threat against the Reds during the encounter at Stamford Bridge.

The Dutchman pointed this out while explaining his decision to substitute defender Milos Kerkez in the 55th minute of the encounter.

Recall that Kerkez, who was replaced by Andy Robertson, faced a difficult task up against Neto as Estevao’s late goal gave Enzo Maresca’s side a 2-1 victory against Slot’s men.

“Milos was more and more tired – he played 90 minutes in two games and now for the third game in a week, which he’s not used to when he played at Bournemouth,” Slot told Sky Sports.

“You could feel and see it got more and more difficult to keep going, and their wingers [Neto and Garnacho] are a threat, so we decided to make a change over there.”

Kerkez joined Liverpool from Premier League side Bournemouth in the summer transfer window.
