EPL: Why I’m worried about Liverpool – Carragher

Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, says he is worried about the current form of the Reds.

This was following their 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Premier League defending champions have now lost their last four games in the Premier League and five in all competitions.

Bryan Mbeumo scored for Manchester United inside two minutes and Cody Gakpo equalised for the home side on 78 minutes.

The Red Devils went on to claim the victory with Harry Maguire’s header late in the game.

Carragher said he has major doubts over his old club’s title chances given the team’s poor form.

“Liverpool are still conceding goals and big chances,” he said on Sky Sports.

“I don’t think there is one glaring problem, it’s lots of things.

“The new signings are not up to speed but also some of Liverpool’s great players from last season are nowhere near the level they were.

“They are making errors. It’s not quite happening for Liverpool. I am worried for Liverpool, not just because of the results but the performances as well..”

Following the defeat, Liverpool are now fourth in the Premier League table, four points behind Arsenal and just two above Manchester United in 9th.
