Free Nnamdi Kanu protest: Nigerian govt moving Ejimakor, Nnamdi Kanu’s brother to Kuje – Family

The Nigerian government is moving Nnamdi Kanu’s Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, and Prince Emmanuel Kanu to the Kuje Magistrate Court.

This was disclosed by Kanu’s younger brother, Kanunta Kanu, on Tuesday.

The Nigeria Police Force had arrested Ejimakor and Emmanuel, Kanu’s brother, during Monday’s protest in Abuja.

They had joined activist and politician Omoyele Sowore during the “Free Nnamdi Kanu” protest in Abuja.

Sowore had convened the protest to demand Kanu’s release and as part of activities to mark the fifth anniversary of the EndSARS movement.

Following their arrest, they were moved to SARS from the Force CID.

However, Kanunta wrote on X:

“Nigeria’s government is now taking Barr. Aloy Ejimakor and Prince Emmanuel Kanu to Kuje Magistrate Court after their unlawful arrest.

“This is a clear intimidation of Kanu, his family, and legal team ahead of Thursday’s trial. #JusticeForKanu #RuleOfLawUnderAttack.”
