Genocide: Why Nigerians should support Trump – Adamu Garba

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adamu Garba, has urged Nigerians to support the United States over its stance on the alleged genocide in Nigeria, saying America’s approach targets both armed and economic terrorists in the country.

Garba, in a post on X on Sunday, said the U.S. government is addressing two categories of culprits — those directly involved in killings and destruction, and those who divert funds meant for security and social programmes.

According to him, the US is more concerned about the latter group, as their actions have far-reaching consequences on the global economy and could facilitate the spread of terrorism beyond Nigeria.

He added that the US was tracking illicit financial flows, including funds moved to the Caribbean and laundered through cryptocurrency wallets, stressing that Washington seeks genuine action against both groups.

Garba maintained that Nigerians who are not part of the two identified terrorist groups have nothing to fear, but should instead support any international effort aimed at eliminating both armed and economic terrorism in the country.

He wrote: “People don’t understand that the U.S. is approaching the genocide issue against two profiled and equal culprits:

“The terrorist who carries out the killings and destruction all over the country.
“The politico-economic terrorist who steals money meant for the fight against the terrorist and other preventive social programs for their personal gain.

“In fact, they’re more interested in the latter, than the former, because the later has more damaging consequences to the global economic arrangement and is capable of exporting terror to other places on earth.

“They know everything that is happening in Nigeria, all the monies that are being moved to other places in the Caribbean and those monies washed into crypto wallets are being trailed and tracked.

“Their interest, as some of you wrongly assume is not to negotiate with any government officials, but to see genuine action against the two terrorists mentioned above.

“Failure to do so could result in rapid action against these two terrorists.

“If you are not part of the two terrorist groups of legitimate targets, then you should have nothing to worry about.

“In fact, you should actively encourage any action that should accelerate the cleansing of both the guns and the economic terrorists that have dominated our country for the past 16 years.”
