Gov Radda signs N137bn supplementary budget into law

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has signed into law the 2025 supplementary budget of N137 billion passed by the State House of Assembly.

The budget comprises N126.8 billion for capital expenditure and N10.2 billion for recurrent expenditure.

Radda said the supplementary budget became necessary to meet funding gaps in ongoing projects and sustain infrastructure development across the state.

According to him, the new allocation will be directed mainly toward completing roads, healthcare facilities, schools, water projects, and agricultural programmes.

The Katsina Assembly had earlier referred the proposal to its Committee on Appropriations, which submitted a report leading to the passage of the bill before it was signed into law.

The signing took place at Government House, Katsina on Tuesday, in the presence of top government officials and lawmakers.
