He Will Never Know Peace Down To His Grave

Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo
Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, a prominent Plateau State cleric, has warned that former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, will face divine judgment for allegedly discrediting the reported Christian genocide in the state.
Omokri has been vehemently denying that there is an ongoing killing of Christians in Nigeria, particularly in Plateau State, going as far as inviting international fact-finding teams into the country, all in a bid to tell the world that Christians are not being killed.
A few months ago, when Fulani militants killed over 150 people in some communities in Plateau State, Omokri was quick to go on X (formerly Twitter) to say only 17 people were killed. Following a serious backlash from outraged Nigerians, he took down the tweet without offering any form of apology for the misinformation.
Omokri’s strenuous defence of the Nigerian government’s denial of the killing of Christians has, however, prompted Rev. Dachomo to curse him, saying he would surely face God’s wrath if he does not repent.
In a video he shared on his Facebook page on Thursday, Rev. Dachomo, who is the Regional Chairman for the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of the state, said people like the ex-presidential aide are “spitting on the graves of innocent people who are being killed by Islamic fundamentalists” and won’t go unpunished.
Speaking in an emotion-laden voice, Rev. Dachomo insisted that there is genocide in the state, claiming that he has evidence to prove it, including pictures of little children killed.
“There is genocide and I have evidence to prove this. I have pictures of innocent people killed, including little children. Very soon, I will hold a press conference to talk about this.
“I will present that his small children are among those killed. I will present the recent killings that the Nigerian government does not want the world to know.
“They are saying that I’m opposing my own government by exposing them. Are they not exposing us to Fulani terrorists by refusing to come to our aid when we cry out? They are exposing us. They are exposing us; let them continue killing us. Then they turn their faces as if nothing is happening.
“Then there is that man called Reno Omokri, who came out and said there is no genocide in Nigeria. That man I have cursed already. He will never know peace down to his grave.
“The blood of the people that has entered my brain, I have transferred them into his life. He will not escape.
“I want all Nigerians to know the man will never escape. He has been living a dubious life with different governments, but this time around, he has crossed the line.
“If I exist without seeing God crush that man, then I’m a bastard, because the blood of the people that have been killed in the north, for him coming out to deny it—he has crossed the line. He is finished.
“The only hope for him that will buy my heart is for him to repent. Let him repent. If Reno Omokri will repent, and those kinds of Christians that came out and say there’s no genocide, if they don’t repent, they will all face the wrath of God.”
